What’s 12 plus 7? If you said dried leather and toffee, math may not be your strong suit…unless Yellowstone Limited Edition Bourbon is part of the equation. This unique whiskey subspecies results from a combination of (you guessed it) 12-year rye and 7-year rye and bourbon, resulting in a richly amber-hued, earthy but sweet final product with a cinnamon spice finish. More than a century after its beginnings, Yellowstone now rejoins the family of Limestone Branch Distillery founders Steve and Paul Beam. Since 2010, the brothers have rejuvenated generations-old family recipes to create their own products in Lebanon, Kentucky—not far from where predecessor Jake Beam began the tradition selling corn whiskey in 1775.
