Located atop Chelsea’s newest boutique hotel, Hotel Henri, awaits New York’s best kept secret – Sir Henri. After arriving through an unmarked door below Hotel Henri’s illuminated marquee, the rooftop speakeasy is your personal ticket to a night filled with memorable cocktails in a comfortable modernly-luxurious atmosphere.

Pairing the soul of a Jazz Age speakeasy with a modern appreciation for mixology, Sir Henri is rewriting the rules of cocktailing. With expert experience from Milk & Honey speakeasy (yes, that Milk & Honey) comes mixology master Gil Bouhana specializing in elixirs that are concocted with locally-grown, seasonal ingredients. Like the cocktails, the setting is a lush, theatrical mix of cozy nooks, low lighting and city views that peek through a three dimensional jigsaw puzzle of local Chelsea buildings.

Upon visiting, we suggest trying these expertly-crafted cocktails:

Drink for a cause throughout October with Sir Henri’s the signature Mexico City cocktail. In partnership with Patron Tequila, Bouhana created the drink which incorporates 2 ounces of Patron Tequila, saline, chocolate bitters, and pedro jimenez sherry, all stirred and served on the rocks in an Old Fashioned glass. For the final touch, Bouhana garnishes the cocktail with a dehydrated lemon and grated nutmeg. The best part? Ten percent of the proceeds go to Save the Children Mexico organization to provide relief following the devastating earthquake.
