The Roth Estate is known for being a family-owned winery on the Sonoma Coast in California. Founded in 2001, they started by making it their passion to create some of the most classic Bordeaux varietals with high quality ingredients that can only be produced in an ideal Pacific climate. Over time, they’ve expanded their vineyards as well as the types of wines that are produced, and the elegant Californian Pinot Noir is one of them. Made with 100% pinot noir grapes that are manually harvested in September and October, this fragrant wine has familiar notes of violets and cherries, while the expressions are fruit forward with raspberry, strawberry, and plum, with a vanilla finish to balance things out. The producer recommends an Andouille strata dish be paired with this particularly bold wine.
