As part of the superior yellow label collection Veuve Clicqout has raised the bar with the addition of their Extra Brut Extra Old Champagne. Blended from the Masion’s famed collection of reserved wines this new low dosage, double aged Cuvee, is innovative in its aging technique. First aged three years on lees in vats, it is then aged an additional three years in the bottle before release. This long slow maturation process allows the wine to be soft and mellow yet light, containing the lowest dosage of sugar in Veuve Clicqout’s history.

This wine is the physical embodiment of Veuve Clicquot’s key values, heritage and innovation. Extra Brut Old is made from only reserve wines, dating from years 1988, 1996, 2006 and 2008-2010. These vintages were selected for their freshness, generous flavor, and structure.

The wine itself presents Intense color in the glass with golden glints and very fine bubbles. On the nose, aromas of candied citrus and ripe stone fruits, lead the way to a toasty finish. This deliciously decadent bubbly is best paired with fresh seafood like sea bass and crayfish or rich earthy flavors like veal and wild mushrooms. They say age comes before beauty, but both come together in this unique beverage.
