With a drive to produce premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Michael Bello acquired some prime real estate located in Napa Valley’s Rutherford Bench district. Bello’s first task was constructing a French farmhouse made from imported materials from France, details that were absent from the Napa area. His image was now set and Bello’s dream, now Bello Family Vineyards, was set in motion.

With a specialty for Cabernet Sauvignon, Bello Family Vineyards noticed 2014 was quite the year despite the drought at the vineyards. The combination of warm and dry weather allowed the fruit to ripen much quicker than the previous year. The fruit, although berry sized, was extremely concentrated and booming with flavor. From this very harvest season, a 2014 vintage came to life. 2014 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is bright in color, rich in flavor, and sweet to the nose. Blackcurrants, licorice, and sweet oak warmly wrap the olfactory nerves while bold, fresh raspberry, blueberry, and cherry stun the palate. To finish, velvety tannin, bittersweet chocolate, and raspberry leave the longing for another sip. Enjoy the bottle immediately or let sit age for 20+ years.
