Produced in Romagna’s Predappio sub-region, this wine is a classic from Drei Donà .The family-owned winery is a member of FIVI , the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers, and they farm with organic principles. To increase their commitment to sustainable agriculture, the family is now introducing draft horses for work in the vineyards, to replace machines.

Made with 100% sangiovese grapes this Romagna wine is quite different from nearby Tuscan sangiovese styles. This wine has aromas of light leather and green herbs, and bright berry fruit on the palate, tending toward blueberry. On the end-palate some dark red fruit flavor appears, along with fine-grain tannins. The wine has a shortish finish, and overall a very pleasant, lifted feel. It is lovely when lightly chilled. Best paired with dishes of vegetables, fish, light meat or fowl.
