Yes, the weather is insane. I’m writing this from Los Angeles where it’s 56 degrees Fahrenheit, raining and windy. But this is Drink Me Magazine guys, and we “always” look on the bright side of…well, cocktails. In your heart and mind it is summer already, so cast off those woolly socks, turn up your heating and create some sunshine mixology masterpieces to lift your spirits, literally.

Twisted Watermelon

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz DeLeón Platinum Tequila
  • 4 oz Watermelon Juice
  • 12 Cherry tomatoes on Vine
  • 4 oz Lime Juice
  • 4 tsp Agave

Preparation: Mull 12 cherry tomatoes in a shaker. Blend 10 – 12 pieces of watermelon or 1oz of watermelon juice into shaker. Add in remaining ingredients and pinch of salt. Shake, strain and pour over ice (makes 4 servings)

Glassware: Rocks Glass and 64oz Pitcher

Garnish: Lime Wedge and Tomato

Platinum Orange

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz DeLeón Platinum Tequila
  • 4 oz Satsuma Orange Juice
  • 2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Agave
  • Top with Club Soda

Preparation: Shake all ingredients over cold, clean ice until thoroughly chilled and strain over fresh ice into pitcher (makes 4 servings)

Glassware: Rocks Glass and 64oz Pitcher

Garnish: Salt and Candied Ginger

Skinny Watermelon Refresh

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz CÎROC Watermelon
  • 2 oz Lemonade
  • 2 oz Club Soda

Preparation: Stir all ingredients thoroughly in a pitcher of ice (makes 4 servings)

Glassware: Highball and 64oz Pitcher

Garnish: Watermelon Slices

Watermelon Up & Down

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz CÎROC Watermelon
  • 5 oz Lemon Lime Soda
  • Splash of Cranberry

Glass: Highball

Garnish: Lime wheel

Watermelon Colada

  • 2 oz CÎROC Watermelon
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • .5 oz Creme of Coconut
  • .5 oz Lime Juice
  • Bitters

Glass: Rocks crushed ice

Garnish: Watermelon triangle
