One of the world’s most prestigious champagne houses, Moët & Chandon, has been producing its quality products since 1743. The iconic Moët Impérial and Grand Vintage Collection are beloved among wine connoisseurs. When faced with the growing trend of serving champagne on ice, Moët & Chandon’s solution was to create the perfect Ice Impérial to be served over rocks. Moët & Chandon Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez set out to ensure that their champagne would maintain its body and flavor when served with ice, as well as embolden its best qualities.

The Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Blanc NV is created via a blend of pinot noir, meunier, and chardonnay, combined in specific ratios to balance a champagne perfectly designed for ice. The cubes amplify the dominant, fruity presence of pinot noir and meunier, giving the Ice Impérial richness in the mouth, while the chardonnay provides a note of acidity to even out the intensity. Following Gouez’s recommendation of serving the Ice Impérial in a large glass with three sizable cubes will ensure that your first sip will bring you bubbling back to life.
