Every winemaker will agree that the quality of the vineyard’s soil has everything to do with producing the finest tasting wines. At Vilarnau Barcelona, their alluvial soil is surrounded by the coastal Serrelada mountains and the Montserrat mountains. Soil rich with layers of clay, pebbles, and deep compacted sand called “sauló” makes for exceptional tasting wine.

Vilarnau’s Brut Reserva Gaudi NV is the winery’s treasure. This cava is made from three base wines – Macabeo, Xarel-lo, and Paradella – that give the wine its distinct grape taste. The fresh, fruity wine is aged 15 months. The bubbly drink is perfect for any time of day.
