It all began at No. 171 Portobello Rd, for which it’s named. A team of experts responsible for the famed Portobello Star pub and The Ginstitute spent 9 months developing and distilling Portobello Road Gin. Nine total botanicals—juniper, lemon, bitter orange, coriander, licorice, nutmeg, cassia bark, angelica root and orris root—sourced from Tuscany were blended together to create a truly flavor packed gin used in over 3,000 bars and restaurants in England. Portobello Road took America by storm with its gold medal win at the 2014 San Francisco Spirit Awards. To start, this gin introduces a strong juniper presence before slipping into an enchanting and fresh citrus character while finishing out with a sweet peppery note. The experts perfected the pour of Portobello Road with ice, tonic water and a twist of grapefruit. But, due to its extravagant taste, Portobello Road mixes well in any gin calling cocktail.
