The Dalmore is no stranger to limited and rare releases but the 35 really takes the cake. First aged in bourbon barrels, sherry casks and port pipes, this incredible whiskey is then bottled into hand-blown decanters from French crystal house Baccarat, emblazoned with a silver stag from the Scottish master silversmiths at Hamilton & Inches and finally packed away into an incredible wooden display case. This release will be limited to only 1000 bottles a year, each year, over the next five. “It took careful maturation in three different woods over a 35 year period to release the full potential of this whisky.” Dalmore’s master distiller, Richard Patterson, said on the 35, “Only after this long period of time did the whisky finally become everything I envisaged it could be. Only then was it finally time to release this truly captivating whisky from its slumber.” And honestly what more could be said.
