Most bottle openers are boring.

They have the same circular metal piece functioning as the opener and then an old, dull wooden handle. It’s often viewed as a necessity for opening drinks, and you wouldn’t even think of it as being fashionable.

Unless, of course you’re the crew at Design Unsanctioned. This Brooklyn-based design studio combines traditional materials and functionality with modern aesthetics to deliver products that are nothing shy of gorgeous. And this bottle opener is the perfect example.

At first glance, this bottle opener could be a belt buckle, it’s so beautiful. Upon closer inspection, you can see that the brass piece is made for opening your favorite beer. And the square shape of the brass is aesthetically pleasing. Coupled with the rich, walnut inlay, this bottle opener is just eye candy to design lovers.

I’m not sure which I love more now: the beer or the bottle opener?
